Goodbye and Good Luck Mrs Irvine

We are delighted to share that Mrs Irvine has been successfully appointed as Principal Teacher for Munlochy and Tore. Mrs Irvine will start her new role in August teaching P7.

Mrs Irvine (formally Miss Williamson) has been at Milton of Leys since 2016. During her 6 years at MOL Mrs Irvine has contributed a monumental amount to our whole school community! Mrs Irvine is full of life, joy and even a little bit of mischief!

Since being at MOL Mrs Irvine has taught P5 twice, P3, P6 and then P7 for the last two years. Mrs Irvine is a phenomenal teacher who brings an immense amount of joy and fun to her lessons. She is always striving to deliver the most progressive and engaging lessons for the children.

As well as being a class teacher Mrs Irvine has been involved in lots of extras over the years. Mrs Irvine was part of our JRock teacher team. Her classes have always had great success with STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) competitions. Mrs Irvine has also been very successful in her class entries at Inverness Music Festival…even when she entered the wrong category by accident Mrs Irvine and her class still managed to come in first place! Last year Mrs Irvine took on the role of Acting Principal Teacher at MOL where she was able to formally lead and develop the curriculum across the whole school. Within this role Mrs Irvine has led with numeracy, Rights Respecting Schools and also Health and Wellbeing. It was a challenging year with further Covid disruption but we can safely safe Mrs Irvine rose to the challenge and more.

She is a huge inspiration to our children and staff. Mrs Irvine ALWAYS has a smile on her face, a joke or a funny story to tell. All the children and staff will miss Mrs Irvine greatly, especially the little quirks like enjoying coco pops in the morning for breakfast in the staffroom.

On behalf of everyone at Milton of Leys, past and present we’d like to say an enormous thank you to Mrs Irvine for everything she has done for our MOL community. You will be greatly missed but we wish you all the very best of luck as you take up your new position as PT at Munlochy and Tore.
