Absence & Future Absence

If your child is going to be absent from school, please phone in to the school office by 9.15am and leave a clear message with your child’s name, class and reason for absence. If you know that your child is going to be absent in advance, please let the school office know by phone call to 01463773020 or email to miltonofleys.primary@highland.gov.uk Mrs Darroch or Mrs MacLennan will then make sure that the message is communicated to your child’s class teacher.

Queries or Questions

Should you have any questions or queries and you are not sure who to direct this to please contact the school office by phone call to 01463773020 or email to miltonofleys.primary@highland.gov.uk

Any information you feel is directly required for the class teacher’s knowledge can also be emailed across to the class teacher.

We have an Open Door Policy in the school and we welcome time to come together to discuss any questions, queries or concerns. Should you wish to discuss anything in depth or have any concerns please contact the school to arrange a convenient time that your child’s Class Teacher or relevant staff member can be in contact with you either in person, telephone or online.

Emails

If you have any urgent query, concern or question, please telephone the school who will direct your call to the appropriate person.

If you wish to discuss anything in writing via email, please feel free to do so. We endeavour to get back to you within 3 working days. Should you not hear a response during this time, please give a call to the school to ensure that it has been received.

Positive News

Please also remember we love to hear positive news, whether that be that your child has learned to ride their bike, drawn a wonderful piece of art work, reached a personal target or had a new addition to the family. Please send us those wonderful bits of good news to either your child’s SeeSaw for the Class Teacher and/or email across to a member of the Senior Management Team. We love to celebrate your families successes.

“I’ve emailed and not heard back”

We endeavour to email you back as soon as we are able to do so, at some points this may take a few days. However there may be other matters such as absence and the person you have emailed will in that case possibly not have picked it up and therefore may need forwarded on to someone else to deal with during their absence.

If you have emailed and have not heard back and are unsure whether it has been received or require a response, please do not hesitate to email this again or contact the school office who can ensure that your email has been received.
